What to Bring: In addition to all your necessary lacrosse equipment and clothes you will need to bring bedding (sheets, blanket, pillow) towel, toiletries, swim gear, sunscreen, sneakers, cleats, water bottle and mouth piece. We are not responsible for any lost items. The dorms are air conditioned so don’t forget a blanket. We also recommend you bring additional money for drinks, snacks and pizza in the evenings. There will also be a camp store for all your lacrosse needs.

Medications: If your son or daughter needs to take any over the counter and/or prescription medication while at camp we need to know. This information is kept with our certified trainer in case of an emergency. Please alert us to any food or other allergies also.

Typical Day: Each day will begin with a 7:15 wake-up followed by breakfast in the dining hall. The morning session runs from 8:45 to 11:00 and usually consists of a heavy concentration on one's individual skills in preparation for the day's second session. The players return to the dining hall for lunch at 11:30 to kick back before starting the afternoon session which runs from 2:00 to 4:00. The midday session's focus will be on team concepts, assessing and handling typical game situations. Immediately following the afternoon practice (on the days assigned by the college) the players will be allowed to go to the pool and will be supervised by members of our staff as well as the college lifeguards. The dining hall reopens from 4:30 to 5:30 for dinner. All meals are buffet style with a good variety to choose from and the campers are not limited on how much they can eat. The evening session begins at 6:30 and ends at 8:30. The final practice of the day will consist mostly of games while emphasizing the day’s instruction.

Location: North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia. Directions can be found here. We chose NGC seven years ago for our camp as it is one of the safest environments within close proximity to Atlanta. Dahlonega not only boasts ten degree cooler temperatures in the summer but also has an extremely low crime rate. Along with our camp staff the college provides 24 hour security and prohibits entry from the outside in the evenings.

The campus: dining hall, fields and pool are all situated in an oval and are all viewable from each other.

Staff & Curriculum: Under the direction of Coach Janczyk we base our staff selections on coaches who are exceptional at teaching the game. Our curriculum includes individual sessions after practices, drills, teaching, games and specialized position work. Our curriculum was specifically developed so that it focuses on how a young athlete should develop in order to compete at a top high school or college. Players will be working with and interacting with many of these coaches for the entire time.

Camp Rules: All persons enrolled in the camp are required to attend all sessions and comply with the rules and regulations governing conduct of all students. Use of tobacco, illegal drugs and alcohol are prohibited. The director reserves the right to send home, at the parent’s expense, any camper or group of campers whose behavior is deemed disruptive to the best interest of the camp community. Any campers (high school boys or girls) driving themselves to camp will be required to turn in their keys at check in. No one will be allowed to leave the camp facilities. Additional camp rules will be covered by the coaches at the beginning of each camp.
